The family room was spacious and clean, but the lack of soundproofing made it hard to relax. The staff went out of their way to provide vegan options, which was a lovely touch.

Our experience was marred by poor room conditions. We were taken to a room on the first floor despite requesting ground floor access. The space was cramped, with a shower that fluctuated in temperature and a lack of basic amenities.

The cozy bar area was nice, but the bed had uncomfortable mattresses.

The room was super comfy with a nice airy feel. The beds were really soft and cozy—slept like a baby! Cleanliness was on point, which made it feel welcoming. They had tea and coffee making facilities, which was a nice touch after a long day. But, yeah, a bit more storage would’ve been great since we had a lot of luggage. Plus, it was a little cramped with all our stuff sprawled around.

I spent one night in a lovely double room which was not only comfortable, but also impressively clean. The highlight of my stay was the dinner and breakfast. both meals featured locally sourced ingredients that were bursting with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. One improvement could be the addition of more storage space in the room for longer stays.

Just an excellent fit for resting at all in Scagglethorpe with reasonable price. The en-suite was fresh and clean, really appreciated the proper full-sized hairdryer. Make sure to enjoy the great food without skipping dessert next time.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ham and Cheese. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The room I stayed in was spacious and tidy, ensuring a comfortable night’s rest. The breakfast options were fantastic, offering plenty of choices, and everything tasted great. I particularly loved the cooked breakfast, which set me up for the day. The ambiance of the pub below added a lively feel but wasn’t too noisy for sleeping. Parking was easy, which was a plus. I did notice an unpleasant sewage smell at the bottom of the stairs leading to my room. The bathroom, while clean, could have been a bit larger for better comfort, and the shower had some issues with maintaining water temperature.

We had a lovely stay in a twin room with nice brewing facilities for a cuppa after exploring the area. The garden was a great spot to unwind, and we enjoyed time with our pooches and a tasty meal outside. The only downside was the wifi being a bit spotty, but it didn’t dampen our experience at all! 😊
